'Alas, hunting season has finally arrived in the Bighorn Valley and we are beyond excited. A wide variety of wildlife, including upland game birds are available at our Bighorn Valley hunting resort. Hunters have the option of using archery or general (firearms). However, it is important to point out that both forms of weapons do not have the same hunting season.
The following are the types of big game that are available for hunting season through November:
- Bighorn Sheep
- General: September 15th through November 27th
- Deer & Elk
- General: September 15th through November 27th
- Moose
- General: September 15th through November 27th
- Mountain Goat
- General: September 15th through November 27th
The following are the types of Upland game birds that are available for hunting season through 2016:
- Mountain Grouse
- General: September 1st through January 1st, 2017
- Partridge
- General: September 1st through January 1st, 2017
- Sharp-tailed Grouse
- General: September 1st through January 1st, 2017
- Turkey
- General: September 1st through January 1st, 2017
- General: September 1st through January 1st, 2017
