Fishing Report 6/30/2016

|

Fishing has improved with the stable water flows holding around 2500 CFS. It appears the flows will remain at this level for some time as this has been the case in the past for summer water levels. The current water temperature is at 50 degrees. Low water can bring some floating moss throughout the river but it appears to be diminishing and cleaning up.

The bugs are starting to appear with PMD's, caddis and the occasional yellow sally stone fly. Terrestrials are also getting the fishes attention. Small hoppers, beetles and ants are producing fish along the banks and in the shallow riffles. Nymphing is still very good in the fast water and in the seams. Remember to check your flies often for moss and grass. Keep them clean and you'll catch fish.

Weather temps have been on the rise into the low to mid 90's every day with a chance of storms in the afternoon. Fishing has been best earlier in the day and then in the evenings.

Good luck and see you on the water!
